an annual tax-free stipend at the standard Research Council rate (£15,009 for 2019-2020), but typically increases annually in line with inflation)

Description: This studentships are fully-funded by UK Research Councils, charities or industry.

Eligibility:

Projects funded by BBSRC, NERC and MRC are only available for UK and EU students who meet the UK residency requirements (minimum of three years continuous residency in UK immediately prior to the start of the PhD).
Projects funded by charities, for example, the British Heart Foundation, Breast Cancer Now and Versus Arthritis are open to all UK and EU students.
