Description:
The Mathematical Sciences Institute may offer an award known as the Johnstone Family Scholarship with the aim of supporting undergraduate students pursuing studies in mathematics or statistics at the Australian National University.
Funding for this award has been provided by Professor Iain Johnstone (Bachelor of Science (Hons), 1978 and Master of Science, 1979) as a tribute to his parents.
Eligibility:
- is a domestic or international student;
- Is enrolled in an undergraduate degree in mathematics and/or statistics (including the Bachelor of Mathematical Science, the Bachelor of Statistics, or a Bachelor of Science with a significant mathematical and/or statistical component, as determined by the Selection Committee);
- has completed a minimum of 48 units and a maximum of 96 units of their degree course;
- can demonstrate a history of excellent academic performance in their undergraduate degree program.
